POSITION SUMMARY:
The front counter employee’s responsibilities include inside sales, phone sales, and customer service. Their tasks are to provide accurate dictation, workstation data entry functions, filing, and timely delivery of orders received by phone, fax, email, or verbal receipt. Secondary tasks will be performed on an as needed basis.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • Two years warehouse or pool industry experience is preferred, but not required.
  • The individual must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and up to 100 lbs.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet and assist customers
  • Generate orders for walk-in customer traffic
  • Works with manager(s), sales force, and warehouse/drivers to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Offer knowledgeable advice on substitutes, equivalent products, and/or product application
  • Phone sales & calling existing customers
  • Advise customers on new products and techniques being introduced into the pool industry
  • Data entry
  • Accuracy when keying and pulling orders is vital to precise cycle counts and low inventory error rates
  • Responsible for receiving and posting cash payments to orders
  • Responsible for maintaining cash drawer
  • Coordinate with purchasing agent to facilitate special orders
  • Assist in stocking the warehouse as needed
  • Process warranty and return to stock items assuring that product was purchased here and is still under warranty according to manufacturer guidelines or still in original packaging
  • Stock counter products and supplies, including: coffee, water cooler, paper, and general janitorial supplies
  • Attend new product training and seminars when available
  • Be conscious of customer theft
  • Answer and direct incoming calls
  • Perform general housekeeping in the counter area, including the bathrooms, and remove trash on a daily basis
  • Make coffee and change water cooler bottle as needed

The front counter employee works with branch manager, assistant branch manager, operations manager, and all warehouse personnel to maintain precise cycle counts, low inventory error rates, and a high level of customer service. POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Aggressively source and develop new business opportunities, building the client base within assigned territory and/or industry segment
  • Maintain current customer base effectively
  • Make cold calls on qualifying leads
  • Provide applications for credit, knowledge, and literature on the product lines we offer
  • Manage customer interface, ensuring that the quality and delivery of goods meet customer expectations

POSITION SUMMARY:
Warehouse employees are responsible for putting away, picking and movement of inventory. Work requires the ability to be certified to operate a forklift and perform data entry functions on a workstation.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for ensuring that material is picked to fulfill orders accurately and moved to shipping, staging, or counter in a timely manner
  • Unload and accurately receive inbound shipments
  • Responsible for pulling and staging internal branch to branch transfers within 24 hours
  • Ensuring the product being shipped to another branch or customer is quality and not old, broken, or used
  • Ensure product is properly wrapped and secured before shipping
  • Be vigilant as to any possible theft
  • Responsible for properly putting away products received in correct bin locations throughout the warehouse
  • Safe operation of forklift to accomplish necessary product movement
  • Ensure safe stacking and placement of products in racks, shelves, and other designated product bin locations
  • Rotate products every time new product comes in
  • Conduct all operations in accordance with OSHA & MSD standards.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
  • Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion for vehicles, forklifts, and machinery
  • Ensure the optimal utilization of space through warehouse consolidation
  • Maintain daily trash disposal to ensure warehouse cleanliness in a tour ready environment
  • Assist in the cleaning of the warehouse, counter area, bathrooms, outside parking lot, yard, and vehicles
  • Maintain Chemical Spill Kit in warehouse located near chemicals in case of an emergency, as well as Eyewash Station
  • Responsible for accurately preparing all UPS/FedEx shipments, ground or air
  • Perform additional tasks as required and/or assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 lbs

The warehouse employee works with operations manager, branch manager, and other warehouse personnel to ensure accurate and timely pulling of orders and placement of stock. They will work with a diverse group individuals with varying levels of education, expertise, and backgrounds, including customers and peers.
